Hi my name is Savannah and I am in Mrs.Thompsons class. I really enjoy being in 4th grade. We are doing fun stuff in science. Learning about weather is fun.I also have really good friends. Like last week's blogger was Hunter.I really don't want to go to 5th grade but when I do I will miss the greatest teacher of all Mrs.Thompson.

Hi my name is Hunter Martin.I am in Mrs. Thompson's class. I am going to tell what we have been doing in class. First of all we've done a bunch of writing stories like a time we were surprised,when relatives came,when we were scared,and the one we are doing right now is a time we were embarressed. My favorite subject is science,in science we are learning about weather, Magnets, and Electromagnets. I think weather is awesome. You could learn a lot of stuff in the topic of science. Dear 2012 Students: I am so glad you are in my class this year! This BLOG will help us make Science and Math extra exciting this year. You will get to post on it and tell others what you have learned and enjoyed. We will make and post lots of videos and pictures. You will get to instantly show parents what you are doing in my classroom. I look forward to getting to know you and your family.

Earth Day 2012

The  4^th graders at Walnut Creek celebrated Earth Day on Friday, March 20, 2012. They picked up trash and planted various plants around the school.  The Denning family along with the IDEAL Pest and Lawn Company donated many flats of beautiful flowers and a HUGE tree to make our 4^th grade ramp even more beautiful.  This is the first and only tree on our ramp, and it was a very special and memorable day for these 4^th graders as they get ready to promote to the next school. They will always remember Earth Day 2012.

They really had fun with this one. They were using electrical tape but kept the battery kept getting really hot.

Electric Circuits

We had a blast making complete and incomplete circuits using a switch. We also tested many materials to see which were conductors of electricity. I even challenged te kids to make a parallel circuit (having 2 or more paths of electricity). A couple of groups were able to do this. Great Job Guys!
